The Motivation Project


I’m so excited to share what I have been working on and I can’t wait to get started. Please have a look around the site to learn more about what this project is all about. We will be working with young girls in schools to improve  emotional wellbeing during a series of task based workshops with elements of dance. Emotional wellbeing is something that I feel could be covered so much more in schools and I wanted to tap in to that potential.

My own experiences and challenges inspired me to create this project. As a dancer I surround myself with emotionally strong females and am continually motivated by others. I have learned so many different ways to stay strong and positive, even when facing set-backs. I am a totally different person now compared to my school days, where I suffered from stress and lack of confidence in my ability, and I know I wasn’t the only one!

After teaching dance in schools, I noticed that teenage girls don’t understand much about their emotional needs and throughout my career I have learned countless and simple ways to tackle this issue. I wanted to share my knowledge and I am passionate about changing the way that girls view themselves and the world around them. It is this passion that has driven me to act and make sure that girls learn more about their own emotional health in a safe environment before it’s too late.

My hope for the future of the project is to have a positive influence on the girls I am lucky enough to work with!
